Many types of birds can be viewed in the Port Alice area. Some seasonal, some year around, and some just passing through on migratory flyways. This a paradise for bird lovers.

The summer tourist crowd includes Hummingbirds, Robins.
And we can occasionally spot migratory groups of Swans, Blue Herons, Cormorants and others.
Accidental tourists include Oyster Catchers from the coast blown in on strong storm winds.
