The Doug Bondue Arena has 4 sheets of curling ice. The Port Alice Curling Club has 5 to 6 teams each year. They play regular round robin games throughout the season which begins the beginning of November and ends mid March. They have two annual get togethers, each starts with a 4 end fun spiel and ends with a pot luck dinner in the curling lounge. Members of the club volunteer their time to teach curling to the children of the Sea View Elementary Junior Secondary School. For anyone wishing to learn to curl instructions can be arranged. For new comers to the community it is a good way to meet new people and socialize.
